Reaction: Nitrogen dioxide is reduced to NO by F420

- in pathway: Tolerance by Mtb to nitric oxide produced by macrophages
The archaeal cofactor F420 reduces toxic nitrogen dioxide that can be produced when NO and oxygen combine. F420 itself is reduced by the enzyme Fgd (Purwantini & Mukhopadyay 2008).
Reaction - small molecule participants:
NO [cytosol]
H2O [cytosol]
F420(ox.) [cytoplasm]
NO2 [cytosol]
