Reaction: MeSeH is hydrolysed to H2Se by methylselenol demethylase

- in pathway: Metabolism of ingested SeMet, Sec, MeSec into H2Se
A yet to be identified enzyme with methylselenol demethylase (MSDM) activity is involved in the hydrolysis of methylselenol aka methaneselenol (MeSeH) into hydrogen selenide (H2Se) and methanol. This reaction is inferred from the event in rat (Suzuki et al. 2007, Ohta and Suzuki 2008).
