Reaction: Catabolism of Noradrenaline

- in pathway: Norepinephrine Neurotransmitter Release Cycle
Noradrenaline is degraded by Monoamine oxidase A, which contains FAD as a cofactor. Monoamine oxidase is located in the outer mitochondrial membrane facing the cytoplasm. Monoamine oxidase functions as a monomer and is functional both is astrocyes and neurons.

3,4-dihydroxyphenylglycolaldehyde [cytoplasm]
NH3 [cytosol]
H2O2 [cytosol]
NAd [cytosol]
