Reaction: dUMP or TMP + ATP <=> dUDP or TDP + ADP [DTYMK]
- in pathway: Interconversion of nucleotide di- and triphosphates
Cytosolic deoxythymidylate kinase (DTYMK) catalyzes the reversible reaction of either dUMP or TMP with ATP to form dUDP or TDP. The active form of the enzyme is a homodimer (Lee and Cheng 1977).
