Reaction: DeHA hydrolyses to threonate and oxalate

- in pathway: Vitamin C (ascorbate) metabolism
Ascorbate can autoxidise, generating superoxide and its dismutation product H2O2. The resulting dehydroascorbate (DeHA) gets oxidised by H2O2 and hydrolyses to threonate and oxalate (Simpson & Ortwerth 2000).
Reaction - small molecule participants:
threonate [cytosol]
oxalate [cytosol]
H2O [cytosol]
DeHA [cytosol]
H2O2 [cytosol]
