Reaction: CSF1R-associated PLCG2 hydrolyzes phosphatidylcholine

- in pathway: Signaling by CSF1 (M-CSF) in myeloid cells
In response to CSF1, PLCG2 (phospholipase C gamma2) associates with CSF1R, is activated by phosphorylation, and hydrolyzes phosphatidylcholine to yield choline phosphate (ChoP, phosphocholine) and 1,2-diacylglycerol (Imamura et al. 1990, Nakamura et al. 1992, Obba et al. 2015, also inferred from mouse homologs). PLCG2 activates pathways that enhance differentiation of macrophages (inferred from mouse homologs).
