Reaction: Active ALK phosphorylates PLCG1

Based on studies with the NPM-ALK fusion, ALK is predicted to phosphorylate PLCG downstream of dimerization and autophosphorylation. PLCG signaling contributes to cellular proliferation downstream of ALK, and mutation of the ALK PLCG binding site eliminates the growth-factor independent transformation of Ba/F3 cells (Bai et al, 1998; reviewed in Chiarle et al, 2008; Palmer et al, 2009).
