Reaction: Cob(I)alamin bound to MMACHC is oxidized to cob(II)alamin

- in pathway: Cobalamin (Cbl) metabolism
Cob(I)alamin bound to MMACHC (Methylmalonic aciduria and homocystinuria type C protein, aka cblC protein) is oxidized to cob(II)alamin. Possible mechanisms for this conversion have been described (Banerjee et al. 2021). The reaction is annotated here without an enzyme catalyst; its chemistry is inferred from that of the bacterial system described by Walker et al. (1969).
