NFE2L2 is acetylated by EP300 and CREBBP in vitro and in vivo. Acetylation occurs primarily at 18 residues in the N-terminal DNA-binding domain of Neh1, and increases (but is not absolutely required for) the transcriptional activity of NFE2L2 at some target promoters (Sun et al, 2009).
