Human NUDT8 protein has not been characterized experimentally. Its mitochondrial localization and ability to hydrolyze Coenzyme A (CoA-SH) to (R)-4'-phosphopantetheine (PPANT) and adenosine 3',5'-bisphosphate (PAP) are inferred from properties of Nudt8, its mouse ortholog (Kerr et al. 2019).
