Reaction: RHOJ GEFs activate RHOJ
- in pathway: RHOJ GTPase cycle
DOCK8 guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) was shown to bind RHOJ and catalyze GDP to GTP exchange on RHOJ, resulting in formation of the active RHOJ:GTP complex (Ruusala and Aspenstrom 2004).
PREX1 (Jaiswal et al. 2013) and TRIO (Jaiswal et al. 2013) exhibited very low RHOJ-directed GEF activity, being hundred times and thousand times, respectively, less active on RHOJ than on CDC42 and RHOG. They are annotated as candidate RHOJ GEFs.
The following GEFs do not act on RHOJ:
ARHGEF1 (Jaiswal et al. 2013)
ARHGEF11 (Jaiswal et al. 2013)
ARHGEF12 (Jaiswal et al. 2013)
